Watch 15 Year Old Girl Sing Motley Crue A Cappella For American Idol Audition

Watch 15 year old Casey Bishop audition for American Idol by singing Motley Crue’s “Live Wire” a cappella.

To be honest, I don’t watch American Idol.

I never really have.

I feel that they make the singers try and be everybody instead of themselves.

Plus it seems too gimmicky.

I also feel the show doesn’t really give rock music enough credit.

And I don’t feel they’ve ever had a rock coach with any credibility.

Every now and then though, a performance from the show will make it to my attention.

And so it is with 15 year old Casey Bishop who auditioned with an a cappella version of Motley Crue’s “Live Wire”.

I only found out about her because Motley Crue posted on social media about someone doing one of their songs on the Idol auditions.

The band seems to support her doing one of their tunes, so I figured it was worth checking out.

Her rendition is kind of bluesy and cool.

As a follow up, she sang Sarah Vaughan’s “My Funny Valentine”.

This kid has chops.

I will be rooting for her to win, although I probably still won’t be watching.
