According to the Associated Press, Nissan is recalling Pathfinder models from 2013 to 2016. The problem Nissan stated Tuesday is that dust and dirt can collect on the secondary hood hatch, which can cause it to malfunction or remain unlatched while the hood is closed.

The hood could fly open if the main latch is inadvertently released or not closed properly after engine service,” said the AP.

Nissan is working on a way to fix the problem but until then, owners of Pathfinders from 2013 to 2016 should expect a letter starting on July 18 of the recall. According to the AP, they will be notified once Nissan figures out how to fix the problem so they can get it repaired.
